Department of Internal Medicine, Building C

The 3rd Department of Internal Medicine, as a predecessor to this department, started its work in 1975 as part of the pulmonology sanatorium opened in 1914 and built with the support of Archduchess Auguste. This unit, besides providing general care in internal medicine for a specified part of Debrecen, is primarily specialized in systemic autoimmune diseases. The main profile of the department is the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases of the immune system.

Besides providing care for inpatients and outpatients, we also offer extensive specialist consultation. If necessary, a modern intensive care unit and plasma and photopheresis treatments are also available for patients. The Angiology and Intensive Care Division providing treatment for vascular diseases in internal medicine is operated within this organizational unit. Today there is a growing demand for the conservative therapy of vascular diseases. We continuously improve and modernize our facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
