THE (Times Higher Education) Impact Rankings
With its 44th place in the Good Health and Well-being category, the University of Debrecen became the best Hungarian institution in this field, and it was also ranked in further three areas among the best higher education institutions in the world in the latest Impact Ranking list of Times Higher Education, analyzing the social and economic impact of universities.
Impact Ranking, the latest from the renowned British ranking creator Times Higher Education, ranks the social and economic role and impact of higher education institutions along the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The University of Debrecen was examined in 4 of the 17 categories, and in each of them it was ranked among the best. In the field of Good Health and Well-Being, it was ranked 44th out of 620 universities as the best Hungarian higher education institution, while it was ranked 54th out of 242 institutions in the Life Below Water category.
The institution was ranked 101-200th in the Quality Education (676 institutions) and Partnership for Goals (806 institutions) categories. Based on the achieved results, the University of Debrecen is ranked 201-300th in the overall ranking.
At the top of the overall list are the University of Auckland in New Zealand, the University of Sydney in Australia and the University of Western Sydney. In the Good Health and Well-being category, the Irish RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Australian La Trobe University and China Medical University in Taiwan were placed on the podium. Among the Hungarian institutions, in addition to the University of Debrecen, Semmelweis University, The University of Szeged, the University of Pécs, Eötvös Loránd University and Széchenyi István University were included in the latest rankings of Times Higher Education
