Department of Ophthalmology

Physicians of the Department of Ophthalmology in Debrecen are regular presenters on World Sight Day events and the national and local lecture series of the Vision 2000-2000 disease and blindness prevention program, and they also actively participate in screening programs organized in the city and the county. Our physicians regularly teach further training courses for family doctors, pediatricians, and specialists in emergency and trauma care. We have edited an ophthalmology educational CD for general practitioners given to participants of training programs free of charge.  Our publications on the diagnostics and emergency care of common eye diseases and the offprints of our ophthalmology-related articles published in national journals are made available for physicians requesting it. We regularly publish informative articles for patients with eye problems and those interested in the Egészségközpont [Health Center] magazine and other papers published for patients.
