Smart functional materials: mechanical, thermal, electromagnetic, optical properties and their applications

Academic head of project management: Kéki Sándor

  • Title of project: Intelligens funkcionális anyagok: Mechanikai, termikus, elektromágneses, optikai tulajdonságaik és alkalmazásaik
  • Type of grant: TÁMOP-4.2.2.A-11/1/KONV
  • Description: The objective of the project is to produce and study new smart materials. There seems to be a large demand both in the industry and healthcare for metal and polymer-based smart materials, for example, for shape memory materials, self-healing materials, periodic polymer systems, during the study of which new material testing methods are expected to be developed also. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the project, it focuses on collaboration between different research sites and the establishment of new international partnerships.
  • The duration of the project: January 1, 2013 – June 30, 2015
  • Actual total costs: 615.002.034 (HUF)
  • Type of research: Basic
  • Consortium details:
    • Lead applicant: University of Debrecen
    • Consortium partner:
